About the Event
Late Summer was a busy time at Hamilton House, as it was the time of "harvest." The agricultural crops would be picked, as well as culinary and medicinal herbs- which would be dried or made into preparations for later use. Join historian and herbalist, Morrie Shafer, for a hands-on class examining all things herbal. We will craft syrups, vinegars, tinctures, teas, and more, all using herbs that would have been grown here at Hamilton House. We will discuss how to dry herbs, and also how to use them in culinary creations. Participants will leave with a tasty creation to use at home.
Registration is required; $15.00
